Base Wage: $18 p/h

We are presently searching for our next talented team member as a Park Operator to join our Park Operations team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.

Start date ASAP, with a seasonal requirement through September and October (various end dates)

Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)

* Clean and maintain parks facilities according to BC Parks standards (including but not limited to pit toilets, garbage bins, campsites, picnic tables, firepits common areas, wash houses, and shower stalls)

* Emptying garbage and recycling bins

* Repair/paint structures and facilities as needed

* Educated campers on BC Parks rules; report incidents and occurrences efficiently to lead hand, supervisor or manager

* Provide site security and enforcement of Park policies; report incidents and occurrences efficiently to manager.

* Ensure high levels of customer service; by providing campers with information on park activities (e.g. hiking, fishing, canoeing). Also included is dealing with difficult guests.

* Represent BC Parks and Manning Park Resort in a professional manner.

* Other tasks as required

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

* Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions in a high-paced environment, as both an individual and team player.

* Available to work flexible hours. 32-40hrs per week.

* Shift times are 7:00-15:30. To a max of 5 days on and 2 days off.

* Able to lift and carry 50 lbs

* Ability to work in a high-paced environment as both an individual and team player

* Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

* Class 5 driver license with a clean drivers abstract, and criminal record check.

* Value safe working practices for both you and the staff under your direction.

* Effective time management and organizational skills.

* Problem solving skills.

* Basic First Aid Certification (minimum 8hrs) an asset.

* Fluent in English. Other languages are an asset
