Gulf Crane Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Representative to join our team. The HSE Representative will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as implementing best practices to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment within the company.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop corrective actions and preventive measures.
  3. Provide guidance and training to employees on health, safety, and environmental practices, including proper handling of equipment, emergency procedures, and waste management.
  4. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and contributing factors, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health, safety, and environmental activities, including incident reports, training records, and compliance documentation.
  6. Stay informed about changes in health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards, and ensure that the company remains in compliance with all applicable requirements.
  7. Participate in emergency response and crisis management activities as needed, including coordinating with emergency services and regulatory agencies.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization.
  9. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to health, safety, and environmental performance, and prepare reports for management review.
  10. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance safety practices, reduce environmental impact, and increase efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate training sessions, conduct investigations, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with safety management software preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
