Fibre Federal Credit Union is seeking a Commercial Services Specialist to work out of our Longview, WA office.  

Wage Range: $20.78 - $32.47
* The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increases based on performance.  The target pay range for this position is typically within the first half of the range.  Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training.  Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Promote commercial products and services to new and existing members. Serve as a subject-matter expert and internal contact for commercial account relationships. Open and maintain commercial accounts for existing and prospective members. Assist members in establishing Business Online Banking and ACH services. Strengthen member relationships by effectively understanding and promoting suitable Credit Union commercial products and services including online banking, merchant services, remote deposit capture, and ACH. Participate in the effort to increase awareness of the Credit Union's commercial services by participating in community events.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Review Promote commercial products and services to new and existing members.

·         Provide prompt, professional, and friendly service and assistance to members and internal staff in person, over the phone, and through electronic communication channels. Requires being consistently logged on and available to take calls, as well as monitoring electronic communication channels.

·         Accurately process applicable commercial requests to open and maintain accounts according to policies and procedures.

·         Assist members in setting up Business Online Banking. Provide education and guidance to allow members to use the service to its full capacity.

·         Educate and assist members in establishing the use of Business ACH processing.

·         Participate in community events on behalf of the Credit Union to increase presence and grow awareness of available commercial services.

·         Work a variety of reports.

·         Assist with training activities, as requested, to increase Credit Union staff knowledge of commercial accounts, products, and services.

·         Assist with testing, maintenance, and development of the Credit Union's commercial account services and products as needed.

·         Support and encourage the Credit Union's mission and values.

·         Proactively perform other duties and assist others, as assigned, or required.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

·         Position Knowledge - The individual should have a desire to gain a strong understanding of Credit Union commercial account structures, products, and services. Should have an ability to learn with the assistance of training, to analyze commercial relationship documents and other legal documentation required for establishing and maintaining accounts and services.

·         Experience - Prior experience working with commercial members is preferred, but not required. Prefer candidate to have two or more years financial institution experience.

·         Problem Solving - The individual displays strong judgment, thought process, analytical, and risk analysis skills, demonstrated through ability to identify an issue, make a decision, and reach a resolution in an appropriate and timely manner.

·         Interpersonal Skills - The individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new things.

·         Oral Communication - The individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. The individual maintains ongoing communication with Department Manager concerning activities of the department as well as needs or problems and keeps them informed of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes, and other important information.

·         Written Communication - The individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively, and is able to read and interpret written information.

·         Planning/Organizing - The individual prioritizes and plans work activities, uses time efficiently, and develops realistic action plans.

·         Requires strong time management and organization skills with a high level of initiative, responsibility, and accountability, including the flexibility to adapt to changing needs and deadlines.

·         Quality Control - The individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.

·         Dependability - The individual is consistently at work and on time (except for those cases protected by law which are outlined in the Employee Guide), follows instructions, responds to Management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.

·         Observes Policies/Procedures - The individual sets an example in observing (following) Credit Union policies and applicable Standard Operating Procedures, as well as those in the Employee Guide.

·         Image - The individual must display a positive and professional image.
