The main responsibility of a room/food service runner is to
deliver food to guest room patrons.
The room/food service runner is responsible for ensuring that the
food plates are delivered as specified to customers. Responsibilities include receiving and the
fulfillment of food orders, prepping food and beverages, providing information
to the customer regarding ingredients and information regarding food
preparation. Room/food service runners
ensure that the plates are handled carefully and brought out in a timely
manner, to ensure optimal food temperature.
Room service runner duties include tasks such as clearing trays and
maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and customer areas and returning plates
to the kitchen.
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to communicate effectively with
others; understands and complies with all Company and departmental rules and
regulations. Must have full working knowledge of
MICROS POS. Must be Serv-Safe
certified. Must be TIPS or RAMP
certified. Must be knowledgeable and adhere
to all PLCB regulations.
