Description:
Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM IO) program. Collaborates closely with professionals across EHRM IO, VHA, OIT, and other stakeholders to advance efforts as the program transitions from deployment to sustainment. Responsibilities will include conducting analysis, producing recommendations, drafting Plans and Reports, evaluating impact of EHR modernization efforts, and supporting efforts across functional and technical aspects of the program. The project manager will support enterprise efforts related to improving facility readiness and partnering with others to establish requirements and prepare sites for transitioning to the new EHR. The project manager supports leadership decision making at the tactical, operational, and strategic organizational levels.
Minimum qualifications:
• 10+ years of professional work experience
• Experience managing Information Technology related projects
• Well versed in life cycle and project management methodologies
• Experience in tracking costs, schedule and performance progress
• Able to identify and mitigate risks
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific/technical discipline or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
Preferred qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in VA and/or DOD
• Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
• Experience supporting large programs
• Experience collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders
• Developing Project Plans
• Experience managing contract deliverables
• Experience in change management, training, and communications
• Experience with ticket management
• Experience in cybersecurity, interfaces, and system architecture
