Junior Account Manager


As a Junior Account Manager, you will be taking over an existing WA based territory and train side-by-side with the current Account Manager. What an amazing opportunity to inherit a profitable and well-established list of accounts! Plus, you will be groomed to be able to grow and expand your account list with unlimited potential.

Using a consultative sales approach, you will work with new and existing customers to develop your territory and meet sales goals. This will involve working closely with the Sales Manager and others on your team to improve skills and product knowledge, researching and offering products that will help customers increase their productivity, developing and writing proposals, and communicating order and delivery information and expectations to internal and external customers. You will be an integral part to living and showcasing DACO values.


  • Manage a geographic territory and assigned account list
  • Prioritize field activity to maximize travel to customers
  • Generate leads and cultivate warm leads through phone, email, website inquiries, in-person visits, cold-calling, and referrals
  • Submit RFQ/RFI by working with our manufacturers, subcontractors, freight companies and other resources
  • Document daily activity through our CRM system
  • Identify and grow your account base with existing and new customer growth
  • Conduct formal and informal presentations to multiple levels of decision makers
  • Cooperate with internal teams on various processes pertaining to supporting customers and processing orders
  • Partner with other Account Managers to maximize our sales across multiple product lines
  • Other responsibilities as required

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years outside sales experience with developing a territory
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, CRM and other technology
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in a sales and service driven environment required
  • Prior experience in the material handling industry highly preferred
  • Have an understanding of commercial construction types and assemblies


  • Candidate must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Position requires travel during work hours in the assigned territory
  • Auto allowance is available

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to type on a keyboard, operate a computer mouse, and see a computer screen
  • Ability to operate a phone and listen carefully to others on the phone.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
