The role of the Grounds person is to maintain the grounds, trees, shrubs, lawns, flower beds, etc as well as transport residents at Fellowship Community.  This shall be accomplished in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Fellowship Community as directed by the Director of Facilities Engineering to assure that federal, state, and local regulations are met.  Performance is to be in accordance with the policies, procedures and the Mission and the Core Values of Fellowship Community.

The Grounds Person reports to the Director of Facility Engineering

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / CREDENTIALS

§  Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local skilled nursing regulations.

§  Basic Computer skills

§  Safe Driving record

§  Knowledge of maintenance of lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, and the like to ensure healthy and beautiful outdoor surroundings in the Community.

§  Some experience in maintaining lawn and garden equipment.

§  Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

§  Must be able to push, pull, move and position heavy objects and supplies on a repeated basis.

§  Must be able to operate maintenance equipment in safe, efficient manner.

§  Must possess valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.

§  Work performance reflects the essential elements of Fellowship Community’s Core Values and commitment to Customer Service.

§  Successful completion of Fellowship Community Orientation.

§  Meets the requirements of the Pre-Hire Assessment.

ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS AND COMPETENCIES

§  Maintain confidentiality in all communications

§  Attend in-service training as required.

§  Completes Annual competencies

§  Maintains all licenses, certifications as required

§  Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibit behavior as set forth by the Compliance and Ethics program Code of Conduct in the performance of their duties.

  1. Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures regarding the Compliance Program of the organization and is timely in reporting any possible concerns.
  2. Follows all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to their position.
  3. Adheres to the Organization’s Policies and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

All Fellowship Community employees must be fully vaccinated against influenza and COVID 19.
