First Choice Nurses is an established healthcare company staffing company with a proven track record of staffing Licensed Practical Nurses, This contract will provide LPNs an opportunity to expand their skill set. Overtime is available and there is also a rapid pay option. We are always looking to add quality clinicians to our growing team.
We are currently recruiting for our Transitional Care facility partner located in Norfolk VA for 13-week Contracts. Skilled nursing experience is a must and LTACH experience is preferred.
LPNs 7a-7p and 7p-7a rotating weekends.
Pay Rate for LPN is $42 hr
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care
- Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate with physicians
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections, etc.) and fill in patients’ charts
- Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
- Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds, etc.)
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies
- Foster, a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
- Proven experience as a Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse
- Trach and vent Experience
- Skills:
- Proven experience as a LPN
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of emergency care
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate

- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills

- Trach and vent Experience
Required Credentials:
- Valid Nursing License for the state of VA
- BLS
- PPD
- 2 Forms of identification for I9 form
