The National WWII Museum is currently seeking a Veteran and Military Engagement Intern.  This paid internship position is responsible for assisting the Veteran and Military Engagement Specialist in the planning and execution of the Museum’s public programming related to veterans and military, including patriotic commemorative ceremonies, lectures, veteran outreach events, WWII veteran visits, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, implementing, and executing components of public programs that appeal to a diverse audience within the military and veteran sphere.
  • Developing runs of show and other event planning materials for Museum-wide distribution.
  • Identifying, contacting, and working with outreach partners for summer and fall programming.

 Qualifications:

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s level program in education, history, arts administration, or related field.
  • Must be able to work a schedule that includes some nights and weekends.
  • Candidates with experience working with veterans, the military, and public programming, particularly in museums or the hospitality industry, are encouraged to apply.
