Event Coordinator

General Description of Duties
This position will work closely with the General Managers and Sales Team to support all Sky Zone Events including, but not limited to: STEM Field Trips, Toddler Time, Home School Jump, etc..

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the General Manager

Qualifications

• Able to work weekday mornings. Examples of hours needed:

  STEM: 9 am-noon

  Toddler Time: 10 am-noon

  Home School Jump: 2-4pm

• Age 17 or older.

• Good with kids.

General Events:

• Enjoy kids of all ages.

• Ability to lead children and interact supportively with school faculty and parent helpers.

• Good Communication skills.

• Works well with direction.

• Willingness to be trained for event-specific activities

• Work well as a team.

STEM Field Trips:

Sky Zone provides STEM Field Trips for K-5 currently. We partner with Math Mind Workshop who provides our curriculum and resource kits for our STEM coaches. STEM Coaches are responsible to provide a fun, interactive, positive, teamwork-oriented laboratory experience for the grade level class of 15-30 students. The Coach is more of a facilitator than a teacher but must be able to set up, master, and clean up (reorganize) the GSE based curriculum in order for the experience to satisfy the school teacher who supports the Coach during the class. Often, the class then switches out to the platforms for experiential learning/play and the next class comes in. The most a coach would facilitate is up to two classes during a field trip. Each coach is supported by the STEM Field Trip Coordinator who is in the management of the park. Former educational experience is helpful but not required. What is required is the following:

• Love of Kids.

• Love of Math and Science.

• Availability to coach; all 2 hour STEM Field Trips have at least a 2 week lead time so that scheduling is made easier and trips are made available Monday through Friday with most being scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays. 

• Positive and Affirming Attitude with the desire to make this an amazing student experience.

• Ability to lead children and interact supportively with school faculty and parent helpers.

• Good communication skills. 

• Works well with Sky Zone Management.

• Willingness to be trained in Sky Zone Values and Math Mind Workshop curriculum (about 4 hours of training). 

• Good organization and time management skills. 

• Agree to a drug test and background check.
