  • You must have at least 3 years of customer service experience.

  • You must have at least 2 years of experience working quickly and precisely in a customer service or CRM-type system (Salesforce a bonus).

  • You must have at least 1 year of experience working at least 80% remote

Who You’d Be Working With

You are the first contact with our potential customers, and you will be developing and maintaining relationships with our existing customers. You report directly to the Customer Service Manager and will have contact with service drivers, and a variety of other operations and sales team members

How You’ll Work at Captain Hook

Responsibility and Empowerment

You will be answering calls and emails, creating and delivering quotes via phone and email, and following up on those quotes through to sale. These quotes and their follow-ups must be accurate, well-written, and delivered quickly. 

After the sale, you will be creating the work order for dispatch to our drivers. You create the work orders that our drivers use to service the customers, so it is your responsibility to give them all the information they need to provide an efficient and excellent customer experience.  

We will give you product and service training and all of the tools and support necessary to succeed in your position. Because this is a remote position, you must possess the ability to work independently. This includes problem-solving and initiative!


This is a 99% remote position. You must have a dedicated space to work, reliable internet, and be immediately responsive to phone calls and emails from 8AM to 5PM with a scheduled break for lunch. 

You must reside in Texas and within driving distance of Austin for quarterly in-person meetings. Candidates from Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and any other reasonable driving distance in Texas are welcome.

Day in the Life

You must be set up and ready to roll before the phones open at 8AM. Whenever you are away from the phones during open hours (e.g., for lunch), you are responsible for arranging phone coverage with another team member. At the end of your day, you must make sure all records are neatly closed before you sign off. You will have weekly video-based team meetings as well as regular communication via chat, phone, or video conference with colleagues throughout the day. Help is there when you need it.


Compensation starts at $42k per year, plus quarterly bonuses tied to performance and overall profitability. You will be eligible for both paid time off and paid holidays. We also offer great medical and dental insurance plans.
