Principal Systems Engineer III (Windows)

Job Description:

The Principal Systems Engineer III (Windows) will be responsible for managing the MECM or SCCM platform and endpoint deployments across all enclaves and classification levels. This includes the maintenance of existing platforms, upgrades to new versions, enhancements such as enabling HA and clustering, new from-scratch deployments, and engineering of future solutions for improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain deployments and collections using MECM/SCCM
  
• Provide endpoint management to workstations and servers
  
• Perform patch management for servers, workstations, and infrastructure devices
• Configure and troubleshoot all components of an enterprise MECM/SCCM deployment, to include SQL Server backend, distribution points, collections, task sequences, etc.
• Support and update AV
• Ensure servers, workstations and infrastructure devices have latest approved patches
• Automate procedures using scripts
• Troubleshoot and evaluate MECM/SCCM client logs and identify problems
• WSUS administration
• Design, implement, and support and ongoing support of the Windows Infrastructure
• Serve as the advanced technical expert for all Windows environments
• Responsible for engineering, integrating, designing and deploying various Windows components and expert knowledge in Active Directory, Group Policy, digital certificates, multi factor integration, DNS and DHCP
• Create and maintain bare-metal and virtual machines with the appropriate distribution of Windows and network configuration, using tools that include Windows Deployment Services, System Center Configuration Manager, SCOM, SCVVM Hyper-V, SQL Server, Windows 2016, and Windows 10

Required Experience:

• 6+ years of windows systems engineering experience

Education:

• BS Degree (preferred)

Security Clearance:

• Must be US Citizen with an Active Top Secret
