Vysnova staff manages programs and projects primarily within the Public Health, Government Acquisition and Training sectors. We work throughout in the U.S. and overseas including; Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East chiefly for governmental clients, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Defense (DOD), the General Services Administration (GSA), and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Currently, Vysnova Partners is seeking highly motivated and qualified Capture Managers in multiple positions/sectors who are eager to lend their skills to our Business Development Team.

Position:          Capture Manager (Multiple Sectors / Multiple Positions)

Reports to:       Director of Business Development and/or President

Location:         Vysnova Corporate Office

The Capture Manager (CM) is responsible for the for identification, qualification and capture of business development opportunities as well as the generation of qualified pipeline that meet’s the firm’s business objective. The CM is expected to continuously learn and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Vysnova’s offerings and services, financial drivers and constraints in addition to developing and maintaining both industry and customer relationships that benefit the firm. This individual will plan and recommend BD and marketing strategies to achieve maximum customer and market penetration and to drive tactical and strategic growth.

Specific Tasks will include:

  • Lead capture research, qualification, teaming and pursuit of federal IT and consulting opportunities ranging in size from SB, SDB, and/or SDVOSB set asides to larger, complex opportunities
  • Perform competitive intelligence, gap analysis, teaming strategy, negotiate teaming agreements, supports solution and proposal development and (including technical, management and price-to-win)
  • Lead cross-functional, matrixed capture and proposal teams that may include account leads, project managers, solution architects, subject matter experts, subcontractors and analysts
  • Support the identification and qualification of opportunities, using tools such as GovWin, SAM, SBA small business portal, and other public data sources
  • Develop strong understanding of both customer issues and Vysnova’s consulting services so as to help align services to address their issues
  • Develop account plans and gather customer intelligence in collaboration with account leads, program delivery personnel and executive management
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research using tools such as FPDS, FBO, GovWin, customer forecasts and internal databases. Must be comfortable using both paid and public tools to get data needed
  • Report to management, Director of Business Development and CEO on current capture status for company pursuits
  • Drive improvements in business development, capture, and account planning process
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in federal government contracting
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in federal government capture or business development
  • Strong understanding of Federal Government procurement lifecycle, Requests for Proposals, Sources Sought, Request for Information and Proposal Responses
  • Proven success in leading pursuit and capture of prime federal government contracts in management consulting, information technology, or managed services
  • Strong ability to prioritize and drive capture deals in a dynamic, fast paced small business environment
  • Experience working with technical teams to develop and evolve win strategies, key offer elements, competitive discriminators and resulting win themes
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills
