Job Duties for Front Desk Supervisor
The person in this position reports directly to
the Front Desk Manager and is responsible for managing front desk
operations. This involves coordinating the activities of the reservations,
front desk and summer activities (seasonal). Partners with other department
heads to ensure that all guest needs and concerns are properly addressed.
Participate in business planning and review activities to ensure the financial
wellbeing of the Front Desk.
Provide leadership to front desk employees;
schedule and conduct training; prepare and communicate performance expectations
of resort management and guests; Assign duties and observe performances to
ensure adherence to Hotel policies; conduct periodic feedback and performance
review sessions; establish employee recognition rewards/events; and when
necessary, take disciplinary actions. Resolve front desk discrepancies
(financial, reservation, etc). Orders and track vouchers/show attractions.
Work with guests to resolve problems by
suggesting and applying mutually agreeable solutions. Assist guests in making,
changing, and canceling reservations. Register guests into and out of resort. Provide
information in person and by telephone regarding resort services. Work directly
with Housekeeping and Engineering to ensure that all guest requests are met in
a timely and correct fashion. Attends regular
staff meetings and perform special projects as needed by Front Desk Manager.
