Cardiac Rehab Technician

IMC is hiring a Cardiac Rehab Technician on a part time basis. The Cardiac Rehab Technician will apply the Cardiac Rehab process, while effectively interacting with patients, significant others, and other team members. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent 
• EKG License and Degree - or - Rehab Tech Degree 
• Basic Life Support/CPR Certification
• Knowledge of blood pressure and heart rate analysis
• Basic knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary systems

PRINCIPAL TASKS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in monitoring patient HR, PB, EKG, O2 Sat and symptoms before, during, and after exercise
• Assist with glucometer reading
• Keep records in orderly manner
• Log patient billing
• Keep data on patient census
• Prepare documents for patient charting and physicians notifications and updates 
• Assist in educating patients on the disease process and the importance of exercise
• Coordinate scheduling functions for the department 
• Assist in screening patients for appropriateness for Cardiac Rehab
• Assist in scheduled cleaning duties and morning prep duties
• Maintain clean and safe work and exercise environment
• Promote a healthy lifestyle
