Position Summary:

As a member of WCAC's Early Head Start team, the Home Visitor will conduct weekly home visits providing the opportunity for parenting support, education, as well as community referrals for parents of children, ages 0-3.  This is a full time position with flexible hours.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of human services needs and community resources.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn Agency software and databases.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse individuals, families, co-workers, and community partners.
  • Embraces and promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. 
  • Customer service oriented; strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive outlook and empathic style.
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Must use personal vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage.
  • Ability to successfully complete a CORI/SORI/DCF Fingerprinting review.
  • Mandatory annual physical, Mantoux test, and COVID-19 Vaccination required.
  • Physical ability to life a child up to 50lbs.
  • Physical ability to visit homes that may not be handicapped accessible.
  • Evening and weekend hours may be required to meet the needs of the program.
  • First Aid & CPR Certification much be achieved within 30 days of hire.
