The Concierge's position acts as the first point of contact between guests and ICONA. They are tasked with answering guest inquiries, directing phone calls, coordinating travel plans, and more. They must uphold the “Aloha Spirit” while making guests feel welcomed and appreciated. 

Essential Functions

  1. Greets and welcomes guests.
  2. Offer suggestions for entertainment, dining and other activities.
  3. Make reservations at local establishments upon request of the guest.
  4. Prepare and display beverage and snack options for guests in the lobby. 
  5. Making appointments or creating guests' itineraries.
  6. Assist with the organization of on-site events.
  7. Communicating with guests and others over the phone, internet and in person.
  8. Direct guests to hotel amenities, including Avalon Brew Pub, Shimmers Bistro, Laundry and Fitness Facilities.
  9. Respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution.
  10. Weekly attendance to Aloha Culture Meeting.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Work Environment 
This position operates in a hotel setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The position may require lifting of products weighing up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 
This is a seasonal position to include, nights weekends and holidays. 

No travel is expected for this position. 

Required Education and Experience 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One-year prior hotel experience.
