'Amazing Grace' Wooden Boat Dock Hand

Reports To: Director of Recreation and Wellness or Recreation Manager
Salary: $14-$15/hour, commensurate with experience
Position Summary: The Individual must like working with people, confident, upbeat, positive, action-oriented and customer service oriented. Applicants will work as part of a team that cleans and acts as dock hands for a 1937 Richardson cabin cruiser.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· To uphold Lakeside’s Mission Statement, and to personally represent its goals and values at all times while on the Lakeside grounds.
· Be knowledgeable of the events and programs, and also the history and mission of Lakeside as well as the “Amazing Grace”
· Be responsible for the care and cleaning of the “Amazing Grace” on days boat rides are offered.
· Responsible for preparing docks with fenders prior to the arrival of “Amazing Grace”
· Responsible for guest safety while boarding and disembarking the “Amazing Grace”.
· Manage “walk-on” reservations as available
· Maintain open communication with Waterfront Rental Center regarding schedule, weather related cancellations, special needs or considerations for passengers, and any other pertinent information.
· Other duties as assigned
· Normal operating hours for boat rides is Mondays and Thursdays 6-8pm. Must be available to work 5:30-8:30pm on the night of boat rides. Boat Rides are cancelled for inclement weather and may be rescheduled for another weeknight
Qualifications:
· A responsible high school student or higher
· Knowledge and experience with boat detailing/ dock hand preferred, but not required. Will provide training.
· Must be able to independently bike ride or drive off site to nearby marina for cleaning duties.
· Boating Education Certificate preferred
