As a Data Engineer, you will help Payworks to continuously improve our analytics client products and to design and implement new data management projects to enable machine learning, data stream analysis and apply other cloud based services to improve the analysis of data to make better decisions. You will lead these new engineering projects to identify and analyze data, create the technology infrastructure and processes to collect and transform the data and establish the algorithms and data pipelines within on-premise and cloud environments.
You possess the ability to support the development and implementation of analytic solutions by demonstrating an analytical nature and maturity to problem solving while being self-motivated and able to work in a collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
+ Engineer Data Solutions - You will be versatile; you will enhance the Payworks’ analytics client facing products while also architecting the new internal data consolidation projects where you will create the infrastructure to manage the entire data flow to analyze customer and internal data to support management decisions. You will use your programming skills to develop, customize, and manage integration tools, databases, warehouses and analysis tools.
+ Build Data Pipelines - You will work with Machine Learning models and deploy them into the environment along with other data science tools to build data pipelines. You will be responsible to define the overall architecture and products to be used in the data solutions and collaborate to ensure security best practices and product approvals.
+ Work with a team - Support, cooperate, and create with cross-functional teams by developing data solutions. You will collaborate with the business stakeholders and analysts to understand the technical requirements for our data solutions; develop or apply the tools for data management and work on the integration of our solutions with existing Payworks products.
+ Make great products even better - Manage the day to day operational processes within the analytics environment and maintain existing functionalities by upgrading tools used to manage data solutions.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
+ Professional experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
+ Highly experienced in SQL Server, Azure cloud based services, Power BI.
+ Working knowledge of applying machine learning models.
+ Familiar with SQL Integration Services, Linux and Windows operating systems.
+ Proficiency in Python, C#.
+ Experience using ETL services.
+ Thrives in a collaborative and respectful team environment and won’t shy away from working with others to solve complex problems.
+ Strong pride of ownership and quality in your work.
+ Ability to analyze, problem solve and manage your time.
