IT Technical Support Specialist
Job Description
· Works directly with end-users in office and manufacturing plant environment to assess and document their technical or system-related issues and requests and tracks them to resolution.
· Support manufacturing personnel and operations with technical questions and issues.
· Escalate issues as needed, and work directly with internal teams, vendors, and managed service providers as required.
· Provide training and guidance to users on applications, systems, and other IT related topics.
· Gathers and documents details for technical inquires, problems, and change requests.
· Responsible for maintaining our inventory of IT hardware and software assets.
· Assist in replacing and configuring IT components as needed in office and plant warehouse.
· Assist with application configuration, data analysis and process improvement projects as needed.
Requirements
· A bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field is preferred
· 1-3 years previous or IT work experience in IT, or related technical function.
· Must be passionate about providing an excellent service experience and helping others.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Highly analytical, able to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
· Knowledge of Windows operating systems, network environments, security configurations, and group policy management.
· Must be comfortable working with and supporting wide range of technologies.
· Must have great attention to detail.
Highly Desired but not required
Experience with ITIL/ITSM or COBIT frameworks
Certifications in ITIL, CISA, CISM, CISSP.
Verbal Spanish Language proficiency is great advantage.
Experience with the Fenestration, Manufacturing or Logistics Industry a plus
