Air Quality Field Technician

The Air Quality Field Technician conducts facility site inspections, sampling, and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the construction, operation, and maintenance of stationary continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMs) and mobile ambient air monitoring stations.
  • Responsible for conducting facility site inspections, sampling, and audits. Responsible for generating accurate and complete documentation of field activities. 
  • Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of air monitoring equipment.
  • Ability to respond to calls 24/7 and work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to travel with some overnight travel required.

Skills and Experience

  • 2 year technical or BS Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience 
  • Knowledge of common engineering concepts, practices, standards, and procedures 
  • Must have a TWIC card and a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to read, interpret, create, and assemble from drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and sketches 
  • Strong electro/mechanical troubleshooting skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal skills including the ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word, and other technical programs
  • Ability to work with little supervision 
  • Experience with Gas Chromatographs is a plus Certified NORM surveyor is a plus

Requirements
  • Ability to adhere to safety requirements 
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and ability to work at elevated heights 
  • The Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities
