Accounting Manager

Earthcom, Inc. a Michigan based full service wireless construction company is seeking an energetic Accounting Manager for its operation in the greater Lansing area. The position will entail oversight of all accounting functions and supervision of related personnel as well as financial reporting projects for cost accounting, cost control and departmental management reporting. This position will oversee the financial matters of the company under the direction of the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the chart of accounts in accordance with GAAP;
• Maintain and orderly accounting system and its related sub-systems;
• Oversee and manage proper job costing and related allocations;
• Maintain proper internal controls over the organizations assets;
• Oversight of accounts payables and accounts receivable functions;
• Ensure proper and timely monthly bank reconciliations;
• Update and maintain general ledger for multiple companies and their associated intercompany transactions;
• Manage cash balances, transfers and draws of multiple bank accounts and lines of credit;
• Provide financial analysis/reports on a weekly and monthly basis as well as special reports;
• Comply with local, state and federal government standards and reporting.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5+ years professional accounting experience;
• Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop financial management system and Microsoft Office products;
• Previous experience in processing or overseeing payroll processing a plus;
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Starting pay will be based on qualifications coupled with the candidate’s years of experience.
