Summer Camp Drama Instructor
Our Doylestown location is searching for a Drama Instructor for the 2021 Summer Camp season. The ideal Drama Instructor candidate must have strong organizational/communication skills and the ability to write and adapt lesson plans to different age levels. The Drama Instructor will guide campers in activities that introduce them to theater, drama and acting. The Drama Instructor should enjoy working with children, be able to communicate well with parents, and be a team player.
Requirements for Camp Drama Instructor:
At least 18 years old
Ability to work as a team member and accomplish tasks
Ability to adapt curriculum to different age groups
Experience teaching theater, drama and acting activities to children
Ability to perform First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training will be provided)
Must attend all camp training
Days/Hours Needed for Camp Drama Instructor: Monday-Friday; 8:15AM-4:15PM (shifts may vary) *This is a seasonal position from mid June to August*
Responsibilities for Camp Drama Instructor:
Lead children of all ages (5-14) in Theater, drama and acting exercises
Develop lesson plans and adapt curriculum appropriately for different age groups
Responsible for the general safety of all campers
Enforce all safety guidelines and emergency protocols
Identify and respond appropriately to camper behavioral issues and report all incidents to the Lead Counselor
Pay Rate: $10.00-$12.00 per hour
*An individual YMCA membership is included with employment*
