Job Description:

Server will be responsible for taking orders from and serving food to customers. Duties will mostly include taking food and drink orders and ensuring that tables are served properly and that all payments are collected.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with bussers, food runners, cooks and other staff.

B. Franklin’s is a current day restaurant and bar showing reverence to and celebrating the original American tavern’s where our founding fathers ate, drank and planned our freedom from tyranny.  In these gathering places, they met to share, not only food and drink but, high ideals and principles upon which our developing country would be founded. It is only fitting that the flagship location be in Virginia, the first colony and hence, the birthplace of American food.  Our founding fathers were, in fact, the founding foodies as author Dave DeWitt has dubbed them. On the menu one will find such items as George Washington’s favorites, cherry tart, roast beef and porter ale, Thomas Jefferson's penchant for French foods like Gumbo, Cornish game hens and mac and cheese, and healthy food items thanks to our namesake… Ben Franklin, as he was… surprise… a fitness junkie.

 We are seeking help for all shifts for our flagship restaurant of over 300 seats and two bars with lunch, dinner and late-night food and beverage service.
