Position Summary
The Welder is responsible for MIG and TIG welding of sub-assemblies used in our industrial drum handling equipment. This position plays an important role in meeting production goals and customer commitments while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and alloys.
- Weld sub-assemblies in accordance with specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Accurately measure components and maintain required dimensions and tolerances.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
- Safely and proficiently use welding equipment, hand tools, and other production equipment.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production and quality goals.
- Follow established safety and quality procedures.
- Perform repetitive production tasks for extended periods.
- Work overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- Completion of a welding training program.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret measurements, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Basic math, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to work effectively and communicate with others in a team environment.
- Ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Basic computer aptitude.
- Ability to work either 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.
