Registration and Reporting Specialist (US)

This is a remote role Temporary

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Regulatory & Quality Assurance, the Registration and Reporting Specialist will assist with compiling, completing, submitting, and tracking applications for various fertilizer registration submissions, completing tonnage reporting, and supporting team members on project-related assignments. This position is a temporary 6-month term with potential for extension.  This is a remote position that can be based either in US or Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, prepare, submit, and track fertilizer registration submissions to various US regulatory agencies to support new product registrations, organic attestations, licenses, permits, etc.
  • Maintain existing product registrations, organic attestations, licenses, and permits.
  • Assist in the development and review of product labels and associated documentation, verifying compliance with regulations.
  • Complete and submit monthly tonnage reporting for the brands produced by Hydrofarm and its subsidiaries.  
  • Support the regulatory team in miscellaneous projects, research, and evaluations.
  • Adhere to existing standard operating procedures and diligently use project tracking systems.  
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, or 3 years of related work experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who: 
    • Have experience registering fertilizer or related products with US state regulatory agencies. 
    • Have experience managing high volume of reporting to regulatory agencies.  
    • Have experience achieving organic attestations for agricultural inputs with organizations such as Ecocert, Procert, OMRI, and/or CDFA OIM.   
  • Preference will be given to candidates who love gardening, are passionate about sustainability, and/or have experience in the agricultural industry.
