Activities Attendant - Grande Shores Resort


Job Description – The Activities person will report to the Front Office Manager. The activities attendant is responsible for organizing and conducting activities for in-house guest. The attendant should have a positive attitude, be patient and aim to please guests. Having good people skills, a penchant for socializing and being organized are required. The activities attendant will work closely with the front desk staff and management.

Job Responsibilities -

·         Set up activities prior to activity start time and be ready at posted start time

·         Conduct and actively participate in arts and crafts with the adults and children, assisting and being energetic

·         Clean up activities immediately upon conclusion

·         Conduct and actively participate in water games (in the pool), such as water volleyball, and other pool activities

·         Ensure guests safety during activities

·         Keep inventory of guest participation, equipment, and guest interactions daily

·         Maintain supplies in a neat manner and in working order

·         Keep inventory, submit order requests and inform Guest Services Manager when supplies are low

·         Be creative and suggest new ideas and games for wacky water games and other fun activities

·         Make his/her presence known by speaking and engaging regularly with the guests and guests children so they are aware of the events and activities taking place

·         Create an upbeat, energetic, fun environment

·         Demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, drive, job devotion, positive attitude and dependability

·         Assist perform other tasks when needed

Requirements -

·         Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required

·         Possess very good customer service skills and good judgment

·         Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential, additional languages can be helpful

·         Ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment

·         Available to work all shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

·         Ability to work well with others
