The purpose of the Lettershop Machine Operator is to setup
and operate mail inserter machines, bindery equipment, packaging and general
mailing and finishing tasks in the Lettershop Services Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
Setup and operate automated mail inserting mainly the Pitney Bowes Relay 8000. Knowledge in Pitney Bowes FPS,
Pitney Bowes Rival, Bell+Howell Forerunner, Bell+Howell
MS500 or Bell+Howell Enduro inserters is a definite asset.
Manual package assembly as required (hand gathering, folding, inserting, etc).
Occasionally operate bindery equipment such as guillotine, shrink-wrapper, tie
machine, saddle stitcher, perfect binder, gluer/padder, etc. when required.
Adhere to standard quality and operating procedures as established by the

and regulations; PPE (safety shoes, high-vis clothing, etc) are mandatory when
accessing the production area.
Maintain and contribute to departmental housekeeping standards.
