Reports To:  Director of Recreation and Wellness or Recreation Manager

Salary:  $14-$16.00 hour, commensurate with experience (this is a professional experienced position)      

 

Position Summary: This position focuses on seasonal operation of the Williams Tennis Campus and Hubbard Pickleball Center. The Tennis and Pickleball Staff are responsible for the daily operations and facility management of Tennis and Pickleball activities at Lakeside Chautauqua; including daily lessons, special events and court maintenance. Staff should be able to provide at minimum, basic training and tennis and pickleball knowledge to all players and visitors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Monitors the use of tennis and pickleball courts, equipment, and activities

·         Assist with tennis lessons, clinics, events as appropriate to skill level

·         Ensures the safety of all guests and staff

·         Knowledgeable of tennis facility such as different types of court surfaces, number of courts, operational hours, special events, etc.

·         Maintains the organization and cleanliness of all tennis and pickleball facilities and grounds.

·         Collaborate with Facilities and grounds department to maintain flower pots, and flower beds throughout campus grounds

·         Work directly with tennis supervisor, maintaining facility operations and integrity by assisting with daily operations and management.

·         Provides competent tennis instruction for all groups and levels of players as appropriate to skill level

·         Manages cash drawer and reconcile daily

·         Assists with event registrations, check-ins, administrative duties as assigned by supervisor

·         Inventories all equipment and reports any necessary repairs or maintenance to supervisor

·         Oversees that all Lakeside Chautauqua rules and regulations are followed

·         Ensures customer relations and satisfaction are of highest priority with all staff

·         Other duties as assigned by supervisor

 

Qualifications:

·         Responsible High School student or equivalent

·         Minimum 3 years related tennis and/or pickleball experience or training

·         Experience with teaching/coaching preferred
