This position assists in the delivery of a high-quality environmental education literacy-focused summer program for elementary-aged students, ultimately improving reading, math and science skills while increasing environmental literacy and exposure to the natural world as part of SuperKids Camp. The intern facilitates a curriculum focused on play and outdoor recreation that helps instill in campers a natural curiosity for the world around them and the importance of an active lifestyle.

- Intern employment dates are 6/20/2022 to 8/5/2022 (camp will be closed Monday, July 4th). Interns must be available for the entirety of the seven weeks. Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Interns will also be required to attend weekly learning sessions during normal work hours.
- Interns are subject to our COVID-19 vaccination policy which requires proof of full vaccination prior to the start of employment OR submission of weekly negative COVID-19 PCR tests during employment.
- Maryland State law requires companies to complete a criminal background check on all employees who have contact with children. Preserving the safety and security of children under our care is of paramount concern, and this policy is consistent with nationwide best practices for child and youth protection. Parks & People will facilitate this process if you are selected for the internship.
