Rainbow Grocery Cooperative is hiring for our new E-Commerce Department.
We are looking for a worker who is excited
about starting a new project, developing it, setting goals, and
completing the goals set by a deadline. Workers must be able to
create long term and short-term plans for the new department. The new
hire should also be willing to be adaptable to changing problems, and
respond with dynamic solutions.
Desired Experience: Previous work in a grocery store. Knowledge of specialty foods. Computer proficiency.
Desired Skills and Attributes: Excellentcustomer service.Willingness to learn. Project management and task follow through. Excellent written and verbal communication. Multi-tasking. Must want to work at a worker-owned cooperative. Multilingualism not necessary, but certainly would be excellent.
There are a number of day-to-day responsibilities:
Efficiently coordinate, shop, and pack curbside and delivery orders
Train and assist department subs
Troubleshoot any problems with the shopping application
Communicate catalog issues to catalog manager
Troubleshooting with customers using the service
Ensure order fulfillment and accuracy
Organize order areas
Facilitate pickup of orders by customers or delivery partners
Deal with unclaimed orders using SOP’s
English communication needs to be proficient to read orders and invoices through shopping app and via telephone
Providing good customer service
Providing training for subs and new hires
Able to multitask, troubleshoot problems, coordinate work, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Able to work efficiently according to the standards set by hiring/evaluating body/department
Have orbe willing to gain thorough knowledge of ECRS register system, and the e-commerce platform
Have or be willing to gain thorough knowledge of ordering apps, including how to troubleshoot
Able to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly, up to 50 pounds occasionally
Work and communicate well in a cooperative environment
Maintain a sanitary workspace
Participate in the improvement of the curbside pickup and delivery services by attending meetings, subbing, volunteering for tasks, etc.
Able to work standing and walking for four-hour shifts, excluding break time
Able to perform the repetitive motions necessary for shopping and using registers
Have or be willing to gain an extensive knowledge of where products are located throughout the store
Able to coordinate marketing campaigns with PR/Marketing Coordinators
Compensation and Benefits:
are seeking to employ individuals who will help reflect the community

seniors are encouraged to apply.Starting pay $18.96/hr with a potential increase to $19.46/hr at 3 months and $19.96/hr
at 9 months. Full medical/dental/vision insurance for full-time workers
(25 or more hours/week) at five months of employment, 401(k) retirement
plan, seven paid holidays, pay for time off (vacation, sick and
personal days), potential for profit-sharing (“patronage”) upon becoming
a member – owner of Cooperative (vast majority of workers have become
members in the first year).
