The Safe Café & Catering, a Street Culture Project social enterprise, is hiring four (4) Baristas. Supported by the federal Canada Summer Jobs program, this role is designed for youth who want to learn, grow, and build career-ready skills in a supportive, real-world café environment.
You don’t need café or barista experience—we’ll teach you. What matters most is your willingness to learn, show up, and try your best.
What You’ll Do
- Learn how to prepare coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty drinks
- Greet customers and provide friendly, respectful service
- Take and process orders using the POS system
- Learn how to safely use café equipment
- Keep the café clean, organized, and welcoming
- Follow food safety and hygiene practices
- Work as part of a team and build communication skills
- Receive coaching, feedback, and on-the-job training

- Interest in gaining work experience or hospitality skills
- No previous job or barista experience is required.
