Have a desire to work with patients, in their home or within other medical facilities, assisting Primary Care Providers in managing patients with chronic and acute medical conditions that are not presenting immediate life threats.
This position will require advanced assessment and clinical skills as well as the ability to calmly and professionally deal with patients and Advanced Providers that are not normally encountered in traditional EMS systems. Therefore, applicants must have a positive QA record and no disciplinary records stemming from patients, medical providers or community partners in regards to either clinical care or attitude/behavior.
Have a minimum 3 years experience as Sr. Medic.
Ability to attend all initial training and monthly meetings while maintaining current road schedule. All training will be provided by Medstar, however you will not be removed from scheduled road shifts to accommodate training; training must be performed outside of your scheduled road shifts or you must make accommodations to have your shifts covered.
Preffered but not required:
Hospital or clinic based job experience
Nursing or related coursework/licensing
