Direct Service Provider - Weekends

• Ability Matters is seeking compassionate and dedicated direct service providers to join our team immediately. We strive to employ individuals who desire to make a difference in others’ lives by enhancing every aspect of the lives of adults with disabilities. 

• We are looking for flexible, positive, and hard-working team players with integrity who will help us on our mission to fulfill the ever-changing needs of individuals with disabilities because no matter your disability, race, creed, or religion, we all have the Ability to Matter in our community!

• Assist each participant with his/her unique daily needs, routines, and activities, as specified in the individual’s care plans, activities of daily living (ADL’s), and/or behavior plan (if applicable).

• Support & assist each individual with integrating into the community through a variety of meaningful activities.

• Perform required personal care and housekeeping chores as needed.

• Conduct yourself in a professional manner and always abide by agency and statewide policies and procedures.

• Ensure safety of individuals by maintaining a safe environment, encourage the self-determination of individuals served, and be fully present with and focused on individuals served during your shifts.

• Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent

• Possess & maintain First Aid/CPR (or willing to obtain)

• Pass & maintain all DODD trainings

• Pass a background check and a drug test

• Possess & maintain a clean driving record

• A positive attitude & willingness to learn and adapt to changes as needed

• Strong communication & time management skills

• Multiple locations around the Columbus, OH area.

  • Home office is in Dublin (about 5 minutes from Bridge Park).
