This position will develop, implement, and execute children’s recreational programming both indoors and outdoors at Moonlight Basin. Supervise children’s recreation staff and provide a fun and safe atmosphere for all children participating in the Moonlight Basin activities.


·         Develop and implement lesson and activity plans for children in the program.

·         Lead indoor/ outdoor activities as schedule requires.

·         Responsible for scheduling children’s recreation staff.

·         Responsible for safety and security of all children participating in programs and activities.

·         Responsible for programs daily setup and clean up.

·         Responsible for sourcing and ordering supplies to support programming.

·         Ensuring that all children’s information/release forms are accurately filled out and the children are signed in on the sign-in sheet by parents/guardians before leaving.

·         Responsible for billing to member accounts for activities.  

·         Responsible for promoting the club’s children’s recreation activities.

·         Interact with children, staff, parents, and members in a professional and caring manner.

·         Handle reservation requests; take incoming phone calls, meeting all phone etiquette standards.

·         Work closely with Outfitters Director and Manager. Providing effective communication to ensure all activities needs are met.

·         Perform opening and closing duties as necessary.

·         Other duties as assigned.


·         High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

·         Preferred bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Recreation Management or similar degree.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Supervisory experience preferred.

·         Minimum one (1) year of childcare experience required.

·         CPR/ First Aid Certified or able to obtain within one month of start.

·         Available to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.


Work tasks are performed indoors and outdoors.  Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by Resort environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures, possibly for one hour or more.

·         Position requires walking; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 7 hours in length.  Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.

·         Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the Resort on a timely basis.

·         Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.

·         Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.

·         Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
