Assembly, testing, and verification of machine assemblies and sub-assemblies.
•Receive instruction from Project Coordinator(s) and discuss anything unclear.
•Check for availability of all materials, components, drawings, and tools.
•Assemble machine components and check for proper fitment.
•Test and ensure the operation of machines and machine components.
•Troubleshoot and solve any issues that arise during assembly and installation of machines.
•Make changes in cooperation with Project Coordinator(s).
Knowledge of the following is required
•Safety considerations for industrial work environments.
•Reading and interpreting EPLAN drawings and schematics for assembly.
•Reading and interpreting of Mechanical drawings.
•Good understanding of ISO standard drawing symbols.
•The testing and verification of industrial equipment.
•Familiarity with various types of processing and assembly sequences.
•Installation of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and cooling systems.
•Anticipating issues, troubleshooting, and making adjustments.
Manual skills required
•Use of hand tools, specialized tools, and measuring equipment.
•Use of auxiliary tools for processing materials.
•Assembly and disassembly of machines and machine components.
•Including drilling and tapping of metric threads.
•Working careful, clean and organized.

Due to the wide array of variations in end products and customer requirements, the work of an AWL Mechanical Technician is diverse. A Mechanical Technician must be able and willing to adapt with regards to the availability of materials, tools, drawings, components, etc. AWL management maintains an “open door” policy and expects team members to make proposals and suggestions for improvements.
