Mechanical Design Engineer

We're excited about the innovation required to aid in the production of the crops farmers grow to feed the world, and we currently have an open opportunity for you as a full-time, permanent Mechanical Design Engineer NOC: 21301 in the Product Design department.
We’re Looking For
- High-energy collaborators who are passionate about team success and product design
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Biosystems Engineering (completed or in progress)
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with design tools such as Autodesk Inventor (or similar 3D CAD system).
- A hands-on and team-focused work style
- 5-10 years experience working as a Design Engineer
In This Role You Will
- Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems
- Design new products and build prototypes
- Integrate new products and product refinements into production
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and streamline product development processes
- Analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures
- Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems
- Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected problems
