Public Health Program Associate

Vysnova staff manages programs and projects primarily within the Public Health, Government Acquisition and Training sectors. We work throughout in the U.S. and overseas including; Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East chiefly for governmental clients, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Defense (DOD), the General Services Administration (GSA), and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).


Currently, Vysnova is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Program Associatefor potential full-time work on a public health/life science research program upon contract award.


Client/Location: Atlanta, GA



The Program Associate (PA) will provide a range of administrative and technical support services to the government client. Specifically, this position is responsible for day to day backstopping support to the field team in close coordination with the client . The PA needs to work proactively at a high-performance level and as part of a team to anticipate project needs and ensure proper support to the field team.  


Specific Tasks will include:


Project Reports


§  Draft and submit regular technical and financial reports required as project deliverables.


§  Update and revise the implementation and work plans in order to meet project goals ensuring deadlines are realistic and coordinated with project team.


§  Brief senior management on project, best practices and solutions to address challenges.


Customer Service


§  Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner and proactively seek solutions to logistical challenges while ensuring that proper procedures are followed.


§  Brief the client on a weekly basis regarding status of project.


§  Ensure that information is conveyed to stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.


§  Demonstrate professionalism in interactions with vendors, the project team and client. 


Invoicing and Financial Support 


§  Collaborate with Finance Assistant to reconcile expenses through credit card purchase.


§  Assist in review of monthly invoices and ensure that all expenses are properly reflected. 


Project Team Support 


§  Ensure that project trackers are complete and up to date.


§  Track and respond to procurement needs submitted by the client and project team, by obtaining and comparing quotes and preparing and submitting purchase requisitions for lab and non-lab supplies and equipment in various sites.


§  Track and assist travel needs, ensuring Travel Managers are completing authorizations and reimbursement paperwork accurately and problem-solving changes in travel.


§  Assist project team in problem-solving day to day procurement needs by coordinating with local purchase assistants and ensuring procurement procedures are followed.


§  Request e-mails for new project hires and ensure that these are provided in a timely manner.


§  Travel as needed to meet with the client or project team.


§  Conduct other duties as required by Vysnova/Program Manager


Required Education/Experience/Certifications:

§  BA or BS degree in Business Administration, or science-related field

§  1-3 years of project management experience preferred


  • Ability to work productively under the pressure of tight deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize
  • Self-direction and good interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with all levels of management, staff, and guests
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows based computer applications
  • Problem solving skills
