Junior Accountant Internship – 3 Month Contract

As a Junior Accountant Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting while contributing to real projects that make a difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, matching invoices and purchase orders, printing cheques, payment reconciliation, and vendor communications.
  • Assist in accounts receivable functions, including posting cash receipts, bank deposits.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing financial data.
  • Aid in maintaining accurate financial records by entering data into accounting software and ensuring compliance with established accounting standards and procedures.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and other general ledger reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Dynamics Cannabis 365 or similar ERP platforms is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards professional development.

Location: This is on onsite position, located downtown Vancouver, BC
