Performs radio-logical procedures at a technical level requiring no constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical and imaging procedures that require independent judgment. Assumes responsibility for patient safety and image quality protocols. Assist Physicians and Radiologists in special procedures.
WORKERS SUPERVISED: Transporters, when position is available. Lab Assistants.
SUPERVISED BY: Technical Supervisor, Medical Imaging Manager; next in chain of command is C.O.O.
EDUCATION - Graduate of Radio logic program, which is accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Radiology Technology Education (JRCRTE).
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION - Valid State Licensure
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE - Completion of accredited Radiology Technologist program
JOB KNOWLEDGE - JACHO standards; Performing all routine diagnostic medical imaging procedures, including use of C-arm in surgery.
