The Position
As a Research Analyst you will support the Toronto team in the execution of a variety of projects at all levels. This team employs a variety of research methods including both qualitative and quantitative analysis in their portfolio of projects. The Research Analyst will support these projects by:
• Drafting data collection instruments (e.g., surveys, interview guides, moderator guides.).
• Conducting Key Informant interviews.
• Completing literature reviews.
• Performing data verification and validation.
• Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, using SPSS, STATA and/or RStudio.
• Completing site visits within Canada to collect primary data.
• Interacting with other Malatest teams and departments within the office and across Canada.
• Assisting in the development of reports outlining study findings.
You Have
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social sciences (sociology, psychology, political science, or economics) or a bachelor’s degree in life sciences and applied sciences.
• 2 to 4 years applied industry experience working in a social research environment.
• Proficiency with data management and technical applications such as R, Stata, SPSS, MS Excel, and/or NVivo.
• Experience with telephone and online survey software.
• Passion for research, excellent communication, and writing abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of research methods.
• Ability to think critically and problem-solve.
• Ability to work independently and part of a team.
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience:
Research Analyst 1 – Two to three years of experience with a bachelor’s degree $55,000-$65,000
Research Analyst 2 – Four years of experience with a master’s degree $65,000-$75,000
Malatest’s total compensation package includes discretionary bonuses, extended health and dental benefits, Short- Term and Long- Term disability insurance, Life Insurance, RRSP program, and an Employee Assistance Program .

If hired, you would be required to obtain a criminal record check and security clearances with the Industrial Security Directorate Division of Public Services and Procurement Canada.
