Integrated Aqua Systems, Inc. specializes in designing and building high-end water treatment systems and tank systems for use in aquaculture, aquatic research, aquaponics and commercial aquatic exhibits.   The Shop Technician position is responsible for executing production tasks including fabrication, assembly, wiring, programming, testing and shipping our advanced products and systems.   

Qualifications:

This is a hands-on shop production position that requires prior fabrication experience utilizing plastic materials, pvc piping, metal, wood and other building materials, preferably in a water-related industry.  Experience and expertise with power tools is required.  Experience with electrical wiring and control systems is preferred.   The Shop Technician is required to successfully completed Integrated Aqua Systems' basic training program with acceptable level of proficiency. 

Educational background in technical or trade industry is highly desired but not required.   Personal interest in aquatic science, aquaculture or aquarium industries is highly desired but not required.  The right person will have excellent verbal /written communication skills and be flexible and able to complete a range of tasks and functions successfully in order to help the company complete projects on time and within budget.  Must be hardworking, easy to work with, detail oriented, and have pride of workmanship. 

Job Description:

This is an entry-level position reporting directly to the Lead Shop Technician.  Duties include production tasks including cutting, gluing, and assembling PVC piping systems, assembly of mechanical and electrical systems, crating, packaging, receiving inventory and other production duties.    Other duties include testing systems, maintaining documentation, organizing the production process and working with others to complete projects.   Assist with other areas of the business as necessary.
