Photography Intern
Department: Marketing
Reports To: Sr. Director of Marketing
Salary: $15/hour
Position Summary: The Photography Intern is responsible for shooting and editing photos daily. This individual should have experience shooting both indoors and outdoors, making creative decisions and demonstrating aesthetic and technical skills. This internship requires a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, photography and digital camera components, as well as shooting and editing skills.
The intern’s work may be featured on the Lakeside Chautauqua website, social media channels, blog, weekly newspaper, print communications, annual Calendar of Events brochure, advertisements, etc.
Please note: This internship runs from May – August. This internship also requires flexibility, as the intern is expected to work days, some evenings and weekends, and all summer holidays, including Memorial Day weekend and the Fourth of July.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Photograph events based on programming schedule, including community events, evening concerts, lectures, recreational activities, children’s programming, worship services, and more.
· Upload, edit and organize all photos to Dropbox
· Attend weekly photo/video meetings and potentially lead meetings
· Upload photos across all marketing channels as needed (social media, YouTube, e-newsletters, etc.)
· Submit photos to the Journalism Intern and Communications Manager weekly for Lakesider publication
· Take headshots of staff for the website
· Photograph food items from the Slack House Historic Café
· Distribute the Lakesider newspaper on Fridays
· Establish a photography project to carry out throughout the summer
· Edit and update the policy and procedures manual for the internship position
· Develop goals related to your internship; present your progress to the Marketing staff
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Current college student studying photography, marketing, communications, media production or related field
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
