Community Outreach Worker, New West Centre (Permanent, Full-Time)

New Westminster, BC $26.26-$28.70/hour

The Opportunity

Do you enjoy building relationships?  Do you desire to show the love of Jesus, intentionally connecting with our New Westminster community members by listening, praying, and providing hope?  Are you adaptable and collaborative? Are you client-centered and service-oriented?  If so, then we may have an opportunity for you.  We are looking for a Community Outreach Worker on our New Westminster Resource Centre team.  The Community Outreach Worker position involves ministering to the men and women living about the New Westminster Resource Centre. The job includes providing support, care, and spiritual guidance to guests—including referrals; and liaising with other service agencies—often advocating on behalf of our guests. If you have strong Christian faith, 2-3 years of related work experience, and a class 5 driver’s license, this may be a great fit! You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems.  There will be other staff nearby to assist as required.
