BASIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Ensures that all inbound packages are received and logged into inventory
  2. Understands how to properly package all products for stock or outbound shipping
  3. Manages inbound product for repair
  4. Ensures all outbound shipments have the proper shipping method paperwork
  5. Is familiar with mechanical assembly processes
  6. Able to read drawings and follow bill of materials for production assemblies
  7. Is knowledgeable on tools used for mechanical assembly
  8. Has knowledge of inventory parts processes, and is able to pull and kit parts
  9. Able to alternate between jobs as workload dictates.
  10. Follow work orders as assigned and complete them within the time allowed
  11. Is able to work with power tools associated with custom production tasks such as milling machine, drills, grinders, etc.
  12. Able to work in a lean environment
  13. Must be able to lift min 40 lbs safely
  14. Performs related duties as assigned.
  15. Remove shipping trash and keep a clean work environment
  16. Adheres to health, fire, and safety regulations; identifies potential safety hazards and reports such to the Operations Manager. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  1. Must have a high school diploma.
  2. Must have knowledge of mechanical assembly and associated processes.
  3. Knowledge in the area of shipping and receiving of product, which includes labeling and tracking of packages through various carriers.
  4. Able to make pickup and deliveries upon request
  5. Forklift trained, and experienced.
  6. Knowledge of Bill of Materials structuring.
  7. Ability to maintain official documents and records, recognizing the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  8. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
  9. Ability to work in a drug-free environment and pass a pre-employment drug screen. 

Desirable:

  1. Undergraduate course work in a related field
  2. Minimum of three years experience in a shipping and receiving environment
  3. Minimum of three years experience in a production assembly environment
  4. Knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes.

While performing the duties of this job, an employee is required to frequently use hands and fingers and possess efficient means of communicating with others. INTRODUCTORY PERIOD

The first 90 days of continuous employment at the Company is considered an introductory period. During this time you will learn your responsibilities, get acquainted with fellow employees and determine whether you are happy with your job. Also, during this time, your supervisor will closely monitor your performance.

Upon completion of the introductory period, the Company will review your performance. If the Company finds your performance satisfactory and decides to continue your employment, it will advise you of any improvements expected from you. At this time, you may express suggestions to improve the Company’s efficiency and operations.

Completion of the introductory period does not entitle you to remain employed by the Company for any definite period of time. Both you and the Company are free, at any time, with or without notice and with or without cause, to end the employment relationship. After completion of the introductory period, eligible employees will receive the benefits described further in the Employee Handbook.

EMPLOYMENT SCREENINGS

After an offer of employment is made, a pre-employment physical examination and background check may be required as a condition of employment for certain designated positions and all applicants for the designated positions will be required to take the physical examination. 

Regardless of the position offered, drug screening is required.  Employment is conditioned on negative test results, that is, of the drugs tested, no trace was found in the system.  Results must be communicated to Human Resources before employment can begin.
