With the continued growth of its advisory practice, Platform Financial is expanding its leadership team by appointing a Director, Tax & Estate Planning to elevate planning standards, strengthen strategic outcomes, and reinforce its commitment to delivering exceptional client value.

Platform Financial is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Director, Tax & Estate Planning to join our growing team. This leadership role is ideal for a professional who thrives on both technical excellence and relationship-building. 

The Director will play a pivotal role in guiding complex client planning by:
• Evaluating ownership structures and identifying planning pathways
• Leading and supporting client meetings with clarity and confidence
• Preparing technical memorandums and structured planning strategies
• Coordinating with external professionals to ensure seamless execution
• Helping advisors articulate clear, actionable solutions for clients

This position blends deep tax and estate planning expertise with client-facing advisory capability, supporting meaningful outcomes for families in the real estate and construction sectors. Equally important, the Director will focus on building strong internal relationships across teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring advisors and colleagues are supported with transparent communication and shared knowledge. By strengthening internal trust and alignment, the Director will help drive growth opportunities and deliver exceptional value to clients.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead/co-lead client meetings with business owners, incorporated professionals, and real-estate families.
• Offer well-reasoned analysis on tax, estate, and corporate planning considerations.
• Review complex ownership structures including holding companies, LP/GP structures, development entities, and freeze transactions.
• Run and compare illustrations, prepare tailored proposals and planning briefs, draft technical notes and explanatory documents to support advisory recommendations, and compile financial evidence packages for underwriting.
• Collaborate with clients’ accountants, lawyers, and external advisors to ensure alignment in planning.
• Support advisors across the practice by providing technical clarity.
• Contribute to internal frameworks, planning tools, and intellectual capital.
• Represent Platform at leading conferences in tax, estate planning, life insurance, and finance.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on initiatives to enhance Platform’s brand visibility and market positioning internally and externally.
• Lead internal educational seminars, develop distribution materials, and strengthen relationships across Platform’s referral networks, advisors, and agency partners.

Experience
• CPA, CA with strong grounding in tax, private enterprise advisory, or owner-managed business environments.
• Skilled at interpreting complex structures and communicating planning considerations clearly.
• Comfortable engaging with senior accountants, tax counsel, and sophisticated real-estate families.
• Professional and articulate; committed to precision and thoughtful advisory.
• Preferred credentials: MTax, TEP, FEA, CLU coursework
