We’re looking to expand our team across the board. 



We are seeking interns for our Summer 2022 Internship Program. The ideal York Engineering Intern is a highly motivated, proactive individual who enjoys learning and is excited about revolutionizing the space industry.  Each York Space Systems intern participates in a tailored training program, is provided with a dedicated Senior Engineer as a mentored and is assigned a scope bound project which will impact actual space missions.  York has internship projects across multiple disciplines, and we are interested to hear what you are passionate about learning.  Successful candidates will be high energy, adaptable, eager to learn, and passionate about space! 

 

Internship projects are available in the following teams / functional groups 

Ground and Flight Software 

Mechanical Design / Structural Analysis 

Systems Engineering 

Electrical Systems Engineering 

Program Management / Project Engineering 

Mission Systems and Operations 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to development of a high-fidelity spacecraft  

  • Interface with multiple engineering disciplines and project stakeholders  

  • Contribute to design reviews, process improvement and tool development 

  • Execute a time bound, well defined project which is of high value to York 

  • Gain hands-on assembly and test experience 

 

Qualifications 

  • Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited university studying engineering 

  • Must have completed at sophomore year of the degree program  

  • Strong communicator, great team player and overall hard worker 

  • Self-starter and self-motivated with a hunger to learn 

  • An interest in full time employment at York Space Systems 

  • Demonstrated interest in spacecraft and space systems
