We are seeking a creative, efficient, experienced Social Media Manager to join our growing team (pun intended!). As the CubicFarms’ Social Media Manager, you will manage our company’s online presence by developing a strategy, producing good content, analyzing usage data, facilitating customer service, and managing social projects and campaigns. If you are a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for turning fans into customers and brand advocates, this could be a great fit for us both!



  • Degree in Marketing and social media or internet marketing certification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or Manager
  • Education or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, business, and journalism is an asset.



  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing. Marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media. (Give links to profiles as examples).
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application.
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
  • Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
  • Enjoys a working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem relevant to the company’s field.
  • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written, audio and video format.
  • Exceeds at building and maintaining sales relationships, online and off.
  • Practices superior time management.
  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research.
  • Is proficient in and/or certified in Google Analytics.
  • Possesses functional knowledge and/or personal experience with WordPress CMS.
  • Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy, and conflict resolution.
  • Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.
  • An eye for detail and the ability to work accurately.
  • Strong motivation and commitment for ag-tech solutions and our CFS vision.



As a Social Media Manager, you will need to:

  • Develop, launch, and manage social campaigns and strategies that promote the company, customers, and brand.
  • Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities.
  • Develop relevant content topics to reach the company’s target customers.
  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written and audio/podcast).
  • Monitor, listen and respond to users while cultivating leads and sales.
  • Conduct online advocacy and open a stream for cross-promotions.
  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts.
  • Oversee design of all social media content and channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels.
  • Monitor online reviews and respond to each review timely and with care
  • Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy.
  • Oversee, plan and deliver content across different platforms using scheduling tools (i.e. Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Asana, etc.)
  • Create engaging multimedia content (and/or outsource this effectively) across multiple platforms.
  • Form key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms
  • Undertake audience, industry, and competitor research.
  • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions.
  • Monitor, track, analyze, and report on social media platforms performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Insights. Compile reports for management showing results (ROI).
  • Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity.
  • Recommend improvements to increase performance.
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company. 
  • Educate other staff on the use of social media and promote its use.
  • Encourage collaboration across MarCom teams and company departments.
