Gym Attendant is a Moonlight Outfitters position requiring extensive guest service experience and the personality and ability to relate to and build trust with Moonlight Basin members, families, and guests in a safe and fun environment. Gym Attendants should be able to describe and facilitate indoor and outdoor activities focused on group sports games and the climbing wall.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job function satisfactorily, which includes:



·        Meet and greet members and guests, assist with member check-in and equipment use waivers and rentals using company software.

·        Be available to open and close facilities according to weekly hours.

·        Provide safe, fun, and professional tips while outfitting members with gym amenities, both indoor and outdoor equipment, and climbing wall gear.

·        Check in members for the Golf Simulator, start games, maintain tidy area within simulator room.

·        Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on auto-belay climbing wall independently as well as part of a team.

·        Organize and lead special regular events using the gym space, including but not limited to

o   Game nights (dodgeball, volleyball, badmitton, etc)

o   kids’ movie nights

o   March Madness tournament

o   Social events

·        Supervise overall use of gym space maintaining a safe and fun environment.

·        Keep the gym and related areas clean, tidy and organized throughout the day.

·        Maintain equipment, inventory, and report equipment damage to management.

·        Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

·        Interact comfortably and seamlessly with an affluent group of members and their guests.

·        Communicate all concerns, questions, and scheduling issues with Director/Manager.

·        Participate in all required training and educational clinics and keep current on information and responsibilities.

·        Read and understand all safety policies and guidelines. Ask supervisor/director for clarification on any policy you may not understand.

·        All Outfitter employees must always represent their profession and department in a professional manner.

·        Assist in special events.

·        Basic housekeeping of gymnasium area.

·        Performs other related duties as required and assigned.


  • Preferred Certifications/ Training

o   CPR/AED Adult, infant and child Certified



·        The structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words.

·        Excellent interpersonal skills.

·        Resourcefulness, good judgment, and self-confidence.

·        Familiarity with mountain environments and group activities/sports.

·        Moonlight Basin emergency and incident procedures.

·        High School diploma and/or equivalent education.

·        Experience facilitating and monitoring client-based sports-based and social activities.

·        Valid driver’s license.

·        Similar combination of education and experience




  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, for six to ten hours a day as required.
  • Ability to use various tools and equipment as required.
  • Bend at the waist, twist upper body, kneel, crawl, climb, reach above shoulders, flex and extend ankle, knee, and hip joints.
  • Lift and carry up to 75 lbs., push and pull 10-20 lbs.
  • Ability to work as many as 7 days consecutively during peak periods.
