Job Title:                 Test Engineering Technician

Reporting to:         Manager, Test Engineering


Position Summary

The Test Engineering Technician will assist Test Engineers in various projects in a cross-functional project team. This position will work closely with the Test Engineers to establish validation standards, develop testing protocols, prepare equipment, document test results, and maintain records for later analysis.  In this key role, the candidate will ensure all products were tested according to appropriate testing protocols with the end goal of a successful hand over from Engineering to Production for the manufacturing of world leading quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute verification and validation plans
  • Perform routine calibration and manufacturing tests
  • Analyze, compile and present test results to test engineering team
  • Assist in failure and root cause analysis investigations
  • Build, verify and validate engineering test fixtures
  • Assist in the generation and improvement of new and existing testing protocols
  • Participate in product design reviews, including DVPR, DFMEA, PFMEA, QCP

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Progressive experience as experience of testing of electro-mechanical products using different metrology equipment.
  • Experience of Test engineering would be advantageous.
  • Experience in the inspection parts
  • Previous experience of calibrating equipment
  • PC literate to complete test reports – MS Office
  • Understand engineering drawings
  • Proficiency with data analysis and statistics
  • Knowledge of system verification and validation methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, with strong attention to details
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team player
  • Flexible and willing to work in very fast-paced environment where tasks and priorities may change often
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Proactive, self-starter and safety-conscious
